Over the past year and a half I have served as the Student Body Secretary of the Student Senate, and before that a Pre-Major Senator. In my time, I have had the opportunity to work under two presidents, President Carlton Adams and President Blake Rainey. I have seen and directly worked with two very different styles of Senate Administration, and from this I will be able to integrate what has worked well under both into my Administration. I will be able to hit the ground running during the first meeting of the 104th Student Senate and avoid the learning curve that normally accompanies the transition because of this extensive “training” I have received from serving on the Executive Board. I have dedicated all of my time to serving the student body, and I strive everyday to be the voice for every single student on campus.

I have a profound love for this University and its community. The people I met during my first year caused me to fully invest myself here. This love has stayed with me, and it is what caused me to become involved with the Chamber. Senate is able to make change and help positively affect the lives of SMU Students unlike any other body on campus. I have been able to meet students from every background and from every nook and cranny of campus in my time. I have seen the true value that each member of our community posses, and it is outstanding. This value is why I want to serve you. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the Student Body thus far. As President, I want to continuing serving our community and getting to know you. I want to continue changing our campus for its students, and I want to insure that every Mustang is valued on this campus. I hope to leave the Presidency, as does every other member of the Senate, having made a positive impact on this campus. I will leave having made it a better place than it was when I entered.
